The Dark Synopsis :

Adele tager sin datter, Sarah, med til den walisiske kyst for at besøge hendes far. Men Sarah stikker af, og hendes forældre finder hende ved kysten… druknet! Kort tid efter dukker en anden lille pige pludselig op. Hvem er hun? Og hvad vil hun? Historien om en landejer, der gennemførte et drabeligt masseselvmord med sine brødre for 60 år siden finder vej til forældrene, og svarene på alle spørgsmålene nærmer sig hastigt… Hårene rejser sig i nakken, og uhyggen breder sig som ringe i det mørke walisiske havvand, ved mødet med THE DARK - den nye spændingsfilm af instruktøren bag prisvinderen Ginger Snaps. Maria Bello fra ”A History of Violence” spiller hovedrollen som tragedieramte Adele, og Sean Bean, der var Boromir i ”Ringenes Herre”-trilogien, er hendes fraskilte mand, James.
